Severe Storm Analysis

The objective of this study is to develop a standard analysis procedure that will permit rapid, comprehensive, and consistent documentation of significant storms in Johnson County. This documentation will gather and analyze hydrometeorological data from ALERT rain and streamgages, high water marks by local governments, National Weather Service raingages, NEXRAD radar, and USGS streamgages. This research will attempt to identify when, where, and how local storm information should be collected and interpreted.
